Hey everyone... HAPPY New Year!!! Let's all make it the best year yet!

We all know what general conditions we face right now living the United States of America... and how jacked up our economy is today. But yet, we should understand that we are literally living during the most amazing time in human history, especially concerning technology and the unique online abilities we have in directly front of us at all times. So what are we actually "DOING" with these unique abilities? How are we bettering our businesses... our communications... our lives?

Today most people sit around and complain about their lives, feeling doomed. We feel that we can't make money anymore! We feel hopeless due to the lack of jobs, or the lack of pay with the jobs we can find. Well, let me tell you something. Today we live in a time of more opportunity than at any other time in U.S. history. That is a fact! We also live in a day & age where we have more abilities at our fingertips than at any other time in our history. Why are we complaining? Why are we feeling doomed... and in the same mindset  trivializing these new social media abilities? We know we can create exposures and communications to whatever we want, and wherever we want today easier than ever! I feel so frustrated with what I do ever day as I strive to help people get a grip on the fundamentals! I get professional "shoppers" and even past and existing "clients" calling me, either complaining or needing something from me, every day. But yet they don't even know why they're needing me. I realize that I have a very sought-after set of unique skills and have visionary abilities that people want... that people feel they somehow need to utilize in their businesses. But they don't even really know what to ask for when they call. Isn't that amazing? And if they're complaining about something, it seems to always be the same complaint. It's usually an issue of ROI or "Return On Investment!" I understand... I am no different when spending my hard earned money. But when someone asks me what they're paying for, due to their lack of interest, I want to hit them in the head! It's the funniest thing to me, when someone hires me to "consult & build" their business online. They usually want the "Magic Pill." They cannot seem to simply realize that they're in a whole new world in marketing behaviors and skill-sets.

Let me give you a very real and honest quick assessment of some realities I see & acknowledge . . .

1. Businesses are always going to be around... as long as we have a systemized & progressive society.

2. Creative marketing is always in the mix... no matter what we want to admit. It's a critical element in every business.

3. Business Operators/Presidents/CEO's & all other high level executives are almost always arrogant and insecure. Don't be offended by this statement. It just is what it is. The lower level, or who I refer to as the "worker ants" always need to get the jobs done at the end of the day, and usually after ducking the blows from the top as they "bust it" to keep the "process of success" afloat.

4. Business owners want the business to thrive, for much different reasons than a simple paycheck at the end of the month. These people want build their company to a certain level in hopes of proving a successful business model... 99.9% of the time with the goal to ultimately sell for as much money as they can get. Business owners always have a selfish agenda... PERIOD!

5 . Traditionally, business owners hire their marketing department, knowing very little (and usually NOTHING) about marketing and creative or developmental skill-sets. And it's critical for the business to create productive and direct call-to-action types of marketing behaviors, including the ability to implement. These very people are typically lost in today's professional world. I have found that they are usually the least educated or trained. In a very new age of strategic business development, skill-sets and behaviors, the wrong people are in charge! Arrogance kills productivity. History has always shown this to be the case. But especially in today's world of, what I call, the "ignorant arrogance" concerning the Director Levels. All the more reason to stay on top of the Social Media arena! It's called "security!"

Okay... so, what does this say to YOU? I know what it says to ME!

Take "Social Media" seriously... especially as the best way to communicate or send direct time-sensitive messaging to those looking for what you have to offer. It's a very, very simple process... but if not understood and educated as to systematic and very specific platforms, skill-sets, behaviors, implementations & maintenance... ya may as well just sit down now, and go to sleep! There is NEVER a "MAGIC PILL" that will mechanically take you all the way! NEVER!

I have to say... the more people I consult or build for... the more I realize, almost EVERYONE trivializes this new ability called Social Media. It's hard to watch people spend their hard earned money on so many useless mechanisms and/or tools that they don't even understand. I am a HUGE advocate of people taking control and becoming more committed to their own Social Media behaviors and skill-sets. If they're not willing and WANTING this in their own life or business... XORTIUM is probably NOT the place to come. XORTIUM is committed and focused on one thing only... and that is... creating more success for all clients via the internet. The only long term, results-oriented way to ensure this can happen is, to make sure our clients have complete fundamental understanding concerning everything we build with them!

If we simply build "cool stuff" and have no way of executing certain behaviors on a consistent basis, nothing can happen long term. And if we don't have long-term goals for calls-to-action into our businesses or projects, there will obviously be little to no return on investment... or increased bottom line productivity as a business or project! Makes sense... doesn't it?

Having been involved in the Social Media arena since 1998, I have had, and still have the opportunity to speak many people every day. We talk about miscellaneous subject and issues. I find it's the best place to quickly notice patterns in human behavior, both individually and collectively.

The fact that we have so many real-time avenues & actual online platforms to communicate an endless world of subject matter, from sharing ideas, thoughts, experiences, to movies, music videos, education, trainings, and even politics, creates a more fundamentally different experience than most of us are used to. I've learned that most people use these platforms and the internet to simply "waste time." The problem with most of us today is, we call it a "waste of time" because we don't understand fundamentally why humans feel the need to "waste time."

I am one who endorses, to a certain degree, "wasting time" online. I believe we can and will accomplish many productive things due to this so-called "waste of time." Why don't we choose to understand it more, instead of criticizing this real-life, real-time & transparency... and an endless world of unforeseen future abilities. I find it much more than simply intriguing. I find it productive and actually humbling.

It's necessary to learn some very basic fundamental behaviors before we can devise or even design any type of call-to-action campaign of any kind. The thing I have noticed most concerning human behavior and free platforms like facebook is, that people actually do "waste" a lot of time getting nowhere very fast. People are extremely transparent and very vulnerable anywhere online... but only due to their own issues of ignorance or lack of interest in learning more. One thing is for sure... people are creating an endless world of euphoria online. That is the ultimate purpose the "wasting time" on the internet. People are human. Human's are people. We all, no matter who we are, or where we come from, thrive on being recognized in some way, shape, or form. It's a given. I've personally recognized this for years now. I feel like I genuinely understand human behavior, at more fundamental levels, than a licensed Psycho Therapist.

I value my online experiences more than anyone I know. It's important to value what you do. And this is what I do. I do the "waste time" thing online. And it's funny how many professional organizations, businesses, and companies get a hold of me every day now, wanting to know how to "waste time" too. They want me to help them understand what's really happening out there. They're getting smarter. They want to understand what to do with this crazy online world of "wasted time" and how to "behave" today in this obvious "New Age" of marketing and casual environments online.

Just a quick REALITY view of a typical day in my own life from home . . . I literally get more done than most people can in a week at work! Productivity is KEY to any businesses success, no matter what the business!

I value the reasoning in effective & efficient new age social media behaviors and skill-sets, in order to get ahead in a systematic way! In today's transparent world online, and the overwhelming "Information Overloading" we all face everyday all day, we need to somehow learn how to move forward and sift thru the rumble of irrelevant information that swarms us all. All information in good & relevant to someone, always. Remember that! But not all (actually very little) information is relevant to YOU and YOUR BUSINESS at any given moment in time. So... how do we efficiently sift thru it all? And then, how do we do anything productive with it?

Well... first of all... we need to understand some of the obviously MISSED fundamentals in the new age of this "Social Media" revolutionary age. We must slow down some... and then even back up if we must, in order to grasp new skill-sets and behaviors that can and will prove effective & efficient to our bottom line PRODUCTIVITY as a business! Make sense??

We are bombarded with new "Social Media EXPERTS" everywhere! I am one of them!!! =)  But I would suggest that you really listen to what ANY of them say and DO! I am fundamentally sound in what I teach in skill-sets and human behaviors... and all in order to get to the bottom line quickly and efficiently! If we can understand human behaviors at more fundamental levels, and gain new social & technical skill-sets today instead of tomorrow... we'll get where we want to be much quicker and with much less investment or risk!

Be smart with whom you work... and be willing to climb out of your box and LEARN new things that might sound ridiculous now. Be willing to take your time and be patient in learning new ideas and concepts that are literally going to sound not only foreign, but "STUPID" and full of nonsense to you. This is the first thing I will ALWAYS recommend to ANYONE or ANY project that I consider working with. BE SMART... and be okay with staying STUPID! Learn from someone like me, who has been obsessed with this subject of "Social Media" since 1998! That's what I would do! =)

This is how I learned to be productive at a high level myself... I have been humbled many times over, and can save anyone the same heartaches! Anyone can learn if they're teachable! But few are! What are YOU?

I am far from the blogger type... but it works! If I don't want to remain a hypocrite for much longer, as a professional "white collared hippie"... I need to maybe start talking about what I do, and how I understand social media and this CRAZY online arena of unrecognized potential!

Just as a motion picture needs a director & producer... a symphony needs orchestration & composition... so must every company out there who wants REAL & creative solutions in the new age of social transparency & online abilities that are available today to us all! Social media can & will actually change the world, both religiously & politically... and yes... even in all the ways of creating "success" professionally!

I have been heavily obsessed with the social media beast since 2002... when we didn't even call it "social media." It was just "cool." Whatever was about to come to fruition within the massive universe of the world wide web, I saw an obvious world in potential, and literally endless, possibilities. Both corporate and small business potential never before seen in human history. The fact that I would be able to reach out to touch millions of others was staggering to me. I could not wait for the day when millions of people had computers with processors and hard drives big enough and fast enough to engage at real-time and much more intimate levels. I saw this as a very fundamental way of changing politics, and sharing human thought and suggestion over controlled boarders. The world has always been so controlled by governments, and dictatorships, both passive and aggressive. But controlled nonetheless! I could see that the people of the world, could one day create and be the ultimate cause of peace! This is happening today, finally... slowly but surely!

I am so happy to watch the internet change the world for good today! I am still, more than ever, engaged and feeling the desire to share my obsession, skill-sets, abilities, and heart felt & genuine opinions with anyone I can help. Hopefully this alone can at least help the world begin the healing process it has so long desired and deserves!
